Inferring User Activities from IoT Device Events in Smart Homes: Challenges and Opportunities

Jul 25, 2022· Xuanli Lin · 1 min read
Abstract
IoT device event logs can reveal activities in a smart home, but device failures can make different activities indistinguishable. This talk examines the limitations of existing activity inference methods and presents an extension that extracts useful information despite these ambiguities, with an application to digital forensics.
